I have used Sebastian Shaper Zero G Hair Spray for about 7 years now, and all of a sudden…poof…they changed it. Not only did they change the can and spray design, but the formula as well.
The spray nozzle used to be smaller, giving a more exact and concentrated spray. Now the nozzle is that of the regular Shaper Hair Sprays, giving more of an all over mist. And the smell is absolutely horrible. About ten minutes after spraying, I get the worse tingling and smell in my nostrils – yuck! I brought the can back to CVS, thinking I had a bad can, but the new can is the same. So bad, that I actually wore a painters mask over my mouth and nose so I wouldn’t inhale as much. I realized this was ridiculous, and I finally threw the can away.
So, now the search is on for a new hair spray. Luckily, I found a small travel size Zero G that I had packed away in a duffle bag that will do for a few more days.
I am open to suggestions. I like a medium – strong hold spray, aerosol type. I also like it to be pretty fast in drying. And it doesn’t need to be a salon brand either… as long as it is good.
